At EndoPrint we love Recycled Wrapping Paper and Greeting Cards. We use 100% post-consumer waste paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council(FSC). All ink is soy based and non-toxic. Our paper is processed Totally Chlorine Free(TCF). All manufacturing is 100% wind powered generated. Cellophane sleeves for gift cards are 100% biodegradable.
Converting trees into paper uses large amounts of energy, water and chemicals, and can generate vast amounts of air and water pollution.
Post-Consumer Waste Paper is paper that has been used by the consumer and kept out of a landfill through a recycling program. It is considered the most environmentally efficient, since it has had at least one useful life before returning to service.
Totally Chlorine Free(TCF) indicates that no chlorine or chlorine compounds were used in the pulping process. Chlorine bleaching produces by-products including dioxins and furans. When released into the water, dioxins do not break down. As early as 1985, EPA labeled dioxins "the most potent carcinogen ever tested in laboratory animals."
A plastic cup takes 50-80 years to decompose. A plastic milk jug takes 1 million years to decompose. EndoPrint uses 100% biodegradable clear bags made of plants. They are certified biodegradable and compostable.
If all newspaper was recycled we could save about 250 million trees each year.
